I have been sewing all night last night and tatáááá':
Although I know Cath's real dog Stanley is a beautiful Lakeland terrier and not a fox terrier like this one, I decided to make 'my' Stanley a fox. (I hope the real Stanley won't mind) .I always had a soft spot for foxterriers.I am really happy with the pattern.It is absolutely great!
The last couple of days I spent making things for christmas.

I found these new Miffy toys to play with.They are sooooo adorable.They are true works of art for me.I of course am a great Miffy (we call her Nijntje)fan and I am so happy she is a dutch design and known all over the world.Her father is Dick bruna and here is a LINK to the official website.
Yesterday we had a wonderful time picking up Babette and her friend Suus from the airport and hearing all her stories and adventures about London.I can not tell you how much we all have missed her this week,and I am not letting her go ANYWHERE for the next days,I will just sit here and look and listen to my beautiful globetrotter.
So back to Miffy,I had bought this wonderful Nina caracter dolly and decided at 23.30 after everybody had gone to bed that it was time to give her a new dress.At midnight she was ready for a picture in her new clothes but unfortunately the lighting didn't allow it.

My other sweetie is in London on a school trip.She and her friend decided to stay a few days longer all by themselves and are flying home next week.I think it is so cool to do this all by herself! I can not tell you how proud I am of both my girls!!

Yesterday morning I got the most wonderful warm welcome.Enzo screamed:DEES!and was so happy to see me again and little Finn gave me the sweetest smile.Yes it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside to realize you have got it all.Wonderful family,friends, and wonderful job.

Saturday I visited Amsterdam with my daughters and didn't forget to bring my camera this time.
When you leave the train station there are thousands of bicycles ,it still is an amazing thing even for dutch people Click on the pic to see the bikes more closely.
(She looked so gorgeous I just had to take a picture.It was a special day in Amsterdam,that had the theme 'Glamourous'and she certainly was that!)
Here in Holland we have a special week for childrensbooks.It is called Kinderboekenweek and it is such a thrill every time!!It is from 3/13 October and has lots and lots of festivities and fun.It also has a theme each year.This year it is SubRosa which in Latin means underneath the rose.And stands for anything secret and mysterious.Every year a well known dutch writer of childrensbooks writes a special book with that years theme in it.When you purchase a childrensbook during this week,you get that book for free.There are also alot of awards for the writers and illustrators to be won.
I have been collecting childrensbooks ever since I can remember and look forward to this week the entire year!So I will show you a few of my new additions but it only started yesterday so there are still more to come!

It is a special book for children that are coping with the lost of a deer one.In this case a cat.

These are the special books you get with your purchase this week.The one with the unicorn is for the little ones and only costs 2,50 the other one is called Kaloeha Dzong by a dutch writer called Lydia Rood and that is the one you get for free.
Sigh.......I want to be a writer/illustrator of childrensbooks when I grow up!

We are back and boy did we have fun!
We had to buckle Missy up in the car seat but...
Sh...it didn't really fit all that well because of her arms.You know....
So we put her in the trunk and that didn't go over very well either,she got a bit cranky and so I had to hold her the entire two hours.
When we got to the farm the cows were too far away to get a good pic.Miss Missy didn't mind it at all.She thinks cows are too big anyway!
In the room we stayed in she didn't want to stay by herself when we went out to dinner.So I bribed her
I bought her so many new children's books that she was still reading them when we got back from dinner.
All Lauren Child books.We love those!
The next day we visited a beautiful town called Giethoorn.The houses there can only be reached by boats so everybody has wee little bridges in front of their houses and you can rent a boat to explore the canals.You can't drive through it,just walk or by boat.So beautiful.I will leave you with some pictures.Miss Missy was pooped and so were we!
