This is......what scares me!

This weeks theme is: This is... what scares me.Well I must say there are of course a lot of things that scare me when it comes to thinking about all the things that could happen to the people and animals I love.( and the entire world of course)But I prefer to keep this lightly so here it is This is what scares me:Griezelig

Hate it.Everything about it.The movie ,the book ,If it is on tv I will not look  at the tv guide because I am too scared to see that awful devils face of Linda Blair.YUG!

(thank you Jodie for coming up with this weeks theme)

More eggs

Easter1_011 Yeah,I found the perfect solution for my egg problem.I found these gorgeous wooden eggs and now I can use those in stead of the polystyrene ones.Oh my Waldorf heart is jumping with joy!I know it must sound stupid, because no one will ever know except for the eggs being slightly heavier, but I know. And that to me makes the difference.I hate putting something so plastic into something 100 % wool.I also use cotton or wool to stuff my animals.I prefer it to the fiber stuff. Here are some new pictures.I made little Marie Antoinette(what is it with me and her??)eggies:Easter1_003 Easter1_004 Easter1_005 Easter1_002 Easter1_006

Early easter!!

Easter I am always so grateful when people post great patterns for free! The wonderful Julie posted this great free pattern of lovely knitted easter eggs!Of course I didn't want to wait to start knitting them and so I finished a couple yesterday evening.I didn't know how to do the sweet band in the middle like her lovely eggs,I am still not really good at that sort of knitting but I do want to learn!I also would like to learn how to knit socks, but I am dreading it because it looks so difficult!

Easter_002_2 In this picture the eggs are stuffed with wool.My waldorf heart is aching but I later put the polysterene egg in and that looks much better. It fills out more.Just look at the first picture.

It is lovely to use all kinds of little left over yarns for these!wow what an amazing thing to come up with eh? Julie makes the most gorgeous things!

Easter_004 I found these wooden cones I can paint. They have a little neck!!!I know I am not supposed to buy anything I don't really need and I do feel guilty about it but I did buy some to get painted again.O I am such a sucker when it comes to crafty things and other cute stuff. My new year resolution....where are you???I will have to get a grip and stick with the program. No more buying!!!

Wooden doll

Remember my New Years resolution?I know it has only been three weeks yet,but I must say I am pretty proud of myself for not buying a single thing up until now, that I didn't need.Nop,not a thing.I even came up with an idea today.I fell in love with these momijidolls.I love them and also the more expensive version the Kokeshi dolls. So instead of rushing down the the nearest shop (or worse, just ordering one from the shop I just linked to)I decided to make my own wooden doll.I had all the stuff right in my studio. The wooden pieces a little paint and of course lots of felt to choose from.My dolly doesn't look like any momiji or kokeshi no sir!!She is a one of a kind!

Like I said, this budget plan does make you more creative and appreciative!

Tagged and too embarrassing!

I was tagged by Sarah to do this fun thing. But boy am I embarrassed to tell you what I have to share with you all.........

Here are the rules:
1. Grab your nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Tag 5 different people

I am reading Sophie Dahl's Playing with the Grown-Ups right now(in dutch :Onder volwassenen)So I rushed down the stairs and grabbed the book from the bathroom(yes I read alot while I am taking a bath not when I visit the bathroom for other things if you know what I mean..)I opened up to page 123 and the first word in that sentence is.....anus.Yes that is embarrassing isn't it?The main character Kitty is lying in bed with her mother doing this ridiculous game together called:" the alphabeth game"" ,in which they invent very bad names for guys that have been bad to them. And in this particular case it was the unfortunate Noah Bender who got the A and was called Anus by Kitty and her goofy mother.I will spare you the B,C,and so on.The book is hilarious.I really recommend it although perhaps after reading this you will pass on it.But I think it is well written and really funny.Sophie Dahl is a granddaughter of the well known Roald Dahl. This book is her debut as a novelist. She wrote a children's book first called The man with the dancing eyes. She is also a model.Gorgeous,sigh... some have it all.

I probably should have read the rules more carefully and should have read you page 123 and the 5th sentence from the German dictionary my daughter Babette left in front of the computer. But I somehow think you will like this embarrassing moment more!)

As you all know,I am not good at tagging other people. If there are any volunteers....please leave a comment and I will gladly put you on my list of people to tag!

Mixed media

I have so little spare time these days that I whip up small projects late at night when everybody is a sleep.I do it so I can sleep better knowing I did do something crafty.silly eh?Perhaps you crafty people know what I mean when I tell you this, but people who are not so creative think I should get some rest instead of going to bed in the middle of the night!Well I guess there are always two sides to the same coin.I whipped up this missy late last night.I think she looks bashful.I first drew little miss and added felt and buttons and a hairclip. The background is bright pink, but it was still a bit dark when I took the picture.

Nature table

Marie_005 I just finished this wee little waldorf doll.I call her Marie, because Lesley-Ann said she looks like a little Marie_Antoinette baby.I am planning on making a nature table.I have had this in mind for a long time.It is both fun and also it is very soothing for the soul.It helps you to stay in touch with nature and makes you more aware of everything around you.I just read a great Blog of someone who had the same thouhts on this. That was just what I needed to get me started on my first waldorf projects again.I always go back to the waldorf way.I love the pure and loving way it reminds you of who you are and to be grateful for every single day!
