I have been carrying ONE BLACK SOCK???around for a very long time.....!I always loose socks in the laundry,could this be why?Thank you Sharon.This was both fun and usefull,I am not going to put everything back in there!

Doll talk

Today I am spending playing with my dolls.

First of all a new addition to the lala land

  She is a Lati Belle sp version.

At first,when she arrived I thought she looked so sad,and because I was feeling so sad I wanted to give her up for adoption again.Fortunately Pim told me to wait and said you are so going to regret it when you give her up.And boy was he right.I don't know what came over me,I love this wee one to bits!Will not give her up for the world now and I am already dreaming about getting a sister for her.I will have to do some big time saving first because these dolls cost a small fortune.But they are heart breakers.....I made her some clothes yesterday.It is so much fun but sooooo small.She is only 12cm!

Second of all I cut the bangs of my beloved Blythe prima dolly ebony:Reese!

It took me forever to built up the courage but I am thrilled with the result!

First of all I would like to wish everybody a very Happy Easter!!!

Second of all I would like to thank everybody for all the warm and kind comforting words on Saar.It makes me feel so special that people that we have never met are all so thinking of us and sending us their love and comfort.So from the bottom of my heart:Thank You!

This week has been a week of contemplation and taking a step back.Pim and I went to a hotel to be pampered and spent a lot of time together to deal with the loss of our beloved companion.It has been a sad but also very loving and special week.

During this time PIP started this great new meme The week  of the vintage childrensbooks.I was sorry I had missed this meme because as you all know, I love children's books.But in her last post she had an invitation to keep posting images of vintage treasures so I decided to join the fun anyway.

Well the thing that always travels on my shoulder are my insecurities.

I probably will not strike you as an insecure someone but underneath it all I am a little girl that is always doubting herself and I am my worst critic!

Dear Saar

This morning around 8.30 our beloved German Sheppard passed away.(she was almost 12 years old)

We are all sad but very grateful that she died without us having to make that decision for her.She had a very bad case of hip displysia and had a lot of trouble walking.She had a mild stroke about a week ago and this morning she went quietly with all four of us at home.We were all on our way out and it is a miracle that it happened the way it did so we could all say goodbye and take care of her.We also had that with our first German Sheppard  Lassie and we are so grateful that it also happened this way with Saar.So a sad time for us but also very thankful it happened the way it did. 

She has been the best companion any one could wish for.

I have read all of her books and can really recommend them to everybody.

Creation to me is life itself.We create every single second of every single minute of our lives.So to say:  "this is my creation" to me is saying "this is my life!"That way,it is hard to describe in one post all there is to tell.But at the risk of sounding too much 'out there'I sort of thought to share this with you all.

Creativity  makes you aware of the creator inside of each and everyone of us.That creator has many names,some call him/her God others the big Mystery or.......(this space is for you to use,whatever name you want)

To me it all is the same,it is That what we all came from and we return to time and time again.So being creative reminds me of being part of That.

So This is....my creation....these thoughts.Thoughts are creations too.Just read these thoughts and please look at them as an open invitation to all of you to share thoughts on this subject.Emphasis on Open.....no strings attached anything goes there are no boundary's nothing is silly or stupid every thought counts and every thought is creation.

Quaint

Thank you all so much for the heartwarming comments on my front door view!I received a lovely comment from Tanja who said: "This is charming. I know that to you, this is simply the way home is: with a certain type of roof line and architecture, certain tree and shrub varieties and so forth. However, from where I sit it seems unbearably exotic." That comment did something to me,It instantly made me more aware of the fact that we do take stuff for granted.I only saw a very drowsy dutch weather picture where all of you saw a different world.I have heard the word Quaint  a lot the last couple of days,and that probably is the best word to describe this little country and my little spot on the planet.In dutch we don't have a good translation for it,but I know what is meant by it and really count my blessings that I am living in such a place.So thank you blog land for making me aware of that again.All of you.!!!!

Now for some crafty stuff.Remember I bought this amazing kit by Malphi? Well I finished the apron!!!! As soon as I have the whole outfit together I will show you how it looks.I am not very good at sewing things and fortunately you can not see the hems up close because they are all wrong but I must admit to being proud of myself,because it is the first time I actually made something for myself to wear!Thanks to the outstanding kit from Malphi's etsy shop.It had everything ready for me to stitch up,and believe or not I don't have a single strap of ribbon,fabric or anything left!It has everything perfectly measured and ready for you to sew!LOVE IT!

Sorry for the late post of This is...but yesterday I waited for the weather to get better and ended up taking this picture right before dark.Sad dutch weather eh?Funny detail,the three cars in the picture are all ours.My husband has a passion for cars LOL !The blue one in the background is mine,the one on the left is Pim's and the one right in front of our house is temporarily Lesley-Ann's but she also drives another car from time to time.Yes I know the neighbors are not always happy with Pim's hobby but we usually don't have them all parked it the street and park them somewhere else so everybody get's their own parking space back!And I also drive ....

Yep this is the love of my life when it comes to cars.Soooooo cute but so not practical.They are so small they really don't belong in today's traffic.That and a very complicated stick shift makes it hard to drive so it is wrapped in a blankie in our garage.But I do love this car!!!I do drive it from time to time and I always have a huge smile on my face when I do!

Working out

Growing up I had a huge dislike of anything that had the word exercise in it.We use to joke about me not even running to catch a bus!Well.....

About 7 or 8 years ago I made a very big decision to start loosing weight.I have always been kind of chubby growing up and never really felt comfortable with it.So on the day after my husbands birthday I started to really watch my diet and leave out all the sugar and fat and started to exercise more.I lost 20 kilo.I don't know how much stone that is but I can tell you it has had a huge impact on my life.But I was skin and bone for a while.People started to think I was sick and I did find that my body didn't correspond with my face.I had the figure of a teen but the wrinkles that belong to a 40 year old.I also worked out a lot. 3 or 4 times a week and at one point I also started running outdoors for an hour!on end.I had to find a balance in that as well.Because I am so busy lately I found that I didn't exercise that frequent any more.And I am constantly still watching my weight so It kind of freaks me out when I don't exercise.Last night my daughters were going out for a night on the town and my husband was at work so I left for the gym.I got on the treadmill and wow it felt great!!!I stared thinking how much someone can change in a lifetime.I had really missed the running.I had been working out but didn't run so much,(also because of the shitty weather)this morning I looked at myself in the mirror and you can actually always tell that I have been running.I know it sounds silly but it is like your blood circulation sort of makes your cheeks and your skin look better.I feel great after running for about 30 min.So I guess there is the balance.Not to over do it with an hour on end but to be really happy with 30 min and other excises.So that is my little Saturday morning story for you.I am really looking forward to reading what kind of exorcises you all do (or don't do)
