Are you ready for some serious cuteness???

I found these new Miffy toys to play with.They are sooooo adorable.They are true works of art for me.I of course am a great Miffy (we call her Nijntje)fan and I am so happy she is a dutch design and known all over the world.Her father is Dick bruna and here is a LINK to the official website.

Yesterday we had a wonderful time picking up Babette and her friend Suus from the airport and hearing all her stories and adventures about London.I can not tell you how much we all have missed her this week,and I am not letting her go ANYWHERE for the next days,I will just sit here and look and listen to my beautiful globetrotter.

So back to Miffy,I had bought this wonderful Nina caracter dolly and decided at 23.30 after everybody had gone to bed that it was time to give her a new dress.At midnight she was ready for a picture in her new clothes but unfortunately the lighting didn't allow it.

Childhood sweetie

I would like to share another childhood sweetheart of mine with you.He is the creation of Zdenek Miler who also illustrated my favourite childrens book I told you about earlier called het luie meisje

I use to watch his adventures all the time when I was little. Now I bought two DVD’s with his adventures and still watch them all the time. It is soooo wonderful cute and funny! And of course little Enzo loves to watch the little mole when I take him over to our home on the days that I baby-sit him. So here some cute pictures, I hope you enjoy them

Thanks for all your kind words on the cleaning and the bunny.And yes I cleaned and washed and felt great about myself afterwards.So there I was after a 'hard days work'LOL and I sat myself down to watch the great serie Rome and I just couldn't sit still.So I decided on a little experiment.I wanted to give needlefelting  a try.I had seen a great felted hummingbird on etsy and I wanted to give it a go myself.So I started with the beak and made that quite long and I started to punch the wool with the feltingneedle.And enjoyed every minute!It is like sculpting something with wool.And suddely this little waterbird baby came out of the pile of wool!!!It wasn't a hummingbird for sure and I don't know the english word for him,but he is a sort of waterbird we have here in Holland.I was amazed and I still think of him as a small miracle because I wasn't planning on making him at all!So I recieve him as a happy accident and just love him to bits.He looks so helpless and clumsy I can't  believe he just appeared out of the woolpile just like that!Hope you like him too I named him:Happy!  

Blue bunny

Yesterday evening while I was watching the last episode of Man in trees I made this blue bunny because I was feeling blue about it being the last episode. Don't you just hate it when they leave you hanging at the end of a season!!!I want to know if Marin and Jack are finally going to be together.I will have to wait untill fall(!) to get my answer.O well I have an entire summer to look forward to so I am not complaining,it is just so frustrating that shows can be so addictive and you sort of get used to mondays being your .""man in trees evening.""

Join the carnival!

When I was a little girl,there was a show on tv with a clown called Pipo.(I found a small picture of him see below)He traveled around the world in a carnival wagon with a little dunkey infront of it named nononono and I wanted to do the exact same thing.That is why this article is soooo great,because someone in France sells these bohemian wagons(in Holland we call them Pipo wagons) and ever since I saw the article I have been dreaming about buying one and making it my special craft studio.Problem is I don't have the space to put it anywhere!Here is a link Les Verdines for you to enjoy and I also put a pic in from the last edition of Marie Claire with bohemian crafty stuff.

Colargol/Jeremy Bear

I would like to share a little childhood sweetheart with you.He was the first guy I fell in love with.In Holland his name is Colargol.But in Canada he's called Jeremy Bear.I collect alot of things and colargol is also one of my favorite things to look for at auctions etc.His caracter brings back so many wonderful feelings.Alot of people get that same feeling once they see him again.I always feel happy butterflies when I see my childhoodfriend.                                  

what is a girl to do?

Hmmm,so many things to do so little time.I am sewing another bambi and can't wait to finish that but The Gilmore Girls are on tv and I do love to watch that.Would't it be great to live in Starshollow!But I also have a few more episodes of Carnivale waiting for me.And I can not wait what professor Lodz is going to do next in the next episode.The show is one big mysterie and I think one of the best I have seen in ages.All the clothing wow!It has that atmosphere about it that you just don't want to shake of.It is like a book you just love and don't want to put down! My favorite book is by a swedish writer named Marianne  Frederiksson.The book is called De Nachtwandelaar in dutch.I think it would be something like the nightwanderer in english.It is so wonderful I started to read it very slowly page by page because  I was afraid to finish it.When I did I felt bad for two whole days!Now that is my idea of a good book!And this show is something I am dreading to finish too!
