I have had the most wonderful childhood in the whole world.It was so magical I never ever wanted to grow up,and was very scared of becoming an adult.My mom told me,if I really didn't want to grow up I wouldn't. That is my most treasured childhood possession Never having to grow up.I still feel like a little girl and love every minute of it!Thank you mom!

So that being my treasure I would like to top it of with a book that has been with me my entire life.My mother still knows every single phrase.She has read it to my so many times.....It is about a very special little girl called Mary-Mary.It has been written by Joan G Robinson and I thought it represented my most treasured childhood possession.

This is...my best shop find!

My best shop finds are usually to do with books!

These I found at a bargain bookstore here in Holland called "de slegte"and I actually found the Butterfly ball both in dutch and english!The guy at the counter,obviously a very skilled booksalesman almost had a fit when he saw they were priced at only 4 euro's a piece!He shook his head and said: someone made a terrible mistake with these,you are in luck!He was right.Alan Aldridge's butterfly ball is sometimes on ebay for  a lot of money!I on the otherhand will never part with these,they are sooooooo beautiful! This is.....my pet!

I know I am a bit early with the This is ....meme,but we are going on Holidays in a couple of days(south of France to visit all the Kathar region,can't wait!)so I am packing and cleaning and shopping and will post this one early.

This is....Brechtje!Our oldy dachsen She is a bit of a handful.Always barking and very very stubborn.But sigh...I love her.She has been a bit more quiet since our beloved Saar passed away,but still there are days where she drives me absolutely bunkers!But looking at her picture makes it all melt away again,I love this wee one and hope she will be with us for many years.

This is.....something I got but still haven't used(to my frustration)

Finally I am back with the this is ...meme.

Of course my this is something I got but still haven't used has to do with dolls.I just purchased this Dollstown Seola head and to my frustration haven't been able to 'use'it because I am waiting for Dollstown to open up their gates again so I can order her (way too expensive)body to go along with her precious head.Dollstown is a wonderful company but the demand for their dolls is so unbelievable they can not seem to keep up with the orders so dolls sell out in minutes.I thought I was clever to order the head first,but now the waiting...ach!it is so frustrating to have her face in front of me,without anything!So I keep buying eyes and clothes and pretty wigs for her until her body is here.

Blog break

As you all have noticed,I haven't been around a lot in blog land.

I have had the flu and had a lot of pain in my joints,so writing and crafting was something I haven't been doing a while.I also have a very sore neck and shoulders so I think I must have overdone it on the computer.I now am taking a little break from blogging and going to focus on getting better.

Minori encori

I received the sweetest package in the world!remember I told you about the little hedgehog I ordered from Minori design....welll this little one turned out to be a wee mouse!Corrie already brought it to my attention and when I took another look,by jolly: It is a mouse!!!!I think the pins in the picture had me thinking it was a hedgehog.Well my dearest Theresia already told me it was a mouse and she also said,I am sending you a present I think you will love it.(She is the sweetest person,I am so glad to have met her on the www)

Oh Boy was she right!I opened up the package and there they were.Two perfect little critters.My dear mouse and Fred!the cutest little hedgie you have EVER seen!Look at his face,he is such a character!Theresia named him after her father.isn't that sweet!Receiving him as a present from dear T,makes him even more special.I decided there and then I am not going anywhere without Fred.He is going to be my pallie in my handbag.I am going to sew him a little bag to keep him from getting  dirty and he is my travel companion from now on.I even wanted him to sleep on my pillow but I was afraid I might smutter him in my sleep.Thank you dear Theresia for both my mouse and my Fred.Mouse is going to be my sewing companion and Fred my travel buddy.Thank you for being so sweet and I am so glad we have met on the www .I hope we get a chance to meet in real life some day! (dan kunnen we een senseo drinken met een plak ontbijtkoek)

Can be anything,children's,novel cookbook you name it just as long as you are madly in love with it.The kind you pick up time and time again and want to buy for everyone you love.(and secretly want to have two or three spares of in your handbag just in case  of a fire)

This is....my latest discovery :Minori Design!

I have made  a lot of new discoveries lately but I decided to share this one in particular with you.There were so many really cute things I discovered,I will start at the beginning.Remember I told you about Emily Martin's appearance on the Martha Stewart show?Well while she was working on her doll,she had the cutest pincushion standing right next to her.It was a hedgehog made of linen with lace embellishments.I played back the video just to see the little hedgie and was totally smitten by it.Then by pure coincidence someone by the name of Chocolatenpoudre caught my eye on flickr with her cute crafts and scrolling down I SAW THE LITTLE HEDGEHOG!!!!Theresia,the mother of all the cute creations posted it to share with the world that her hedgehog made an appearance on the Martha show!!!I of course commented on it to tell her I already spotted her cuteness and complimented her on her art.I received a reply IN DUTCH!that is always such a surprise when it happens.Turns out Theresia is a real globetrotter and has lived in different places all over the world.(But she is dutch!)Now she lives in the UK.I wrote her yesterday that I was going to order one of her hedgehogs as soon as I had made a sale again in my etsy shop.I closed the frame and opened my mailbox and PING!congratulations on your sale on etsy it said!

Well,it took me about two seconds to get back to Theresa's site and ordered my very own hedgehog here she is:  

Isn't she adorable?Can't wait for her to arrive!

So this is my latest discovery Minoridesign she has the cutest things,kittens hedgehogs dolls you name it and she has a great Blog too!

This weeks theme in This is..... is such a great one!Thank you Lily and Agathe!

So me and my significant other get to choose 6 people living or dead,famous or not.....WOW what an amazing thought to be able to do that...What recipe should I make,what to wear,what questions to ask,what table setting........

My perfect dinner guest list would look like this:

1Krishnamurti.I would ask him all the big questions in life and would love to feel his presence and feel what it is like to sit so close to someone that is so loving and peaceful.

2The Dalai Lama.Being around someone like him would be a life changing experience.

3 Jane Goodall.I would love to talk chimp with her.I have a strong love for primates and I have a very very deep respect for Jane and the way she approaches live.

4 Pipi Longstocking..she is my childhood heroine.Everything I was afraid to do,she would show me that it could be done and I want to thank her for it

5 Ok John Travolta,because he was the first man I ever fell in love with

Last but certainly NOT least my dear dad who died 4 years ago.At the risk of wanting to keep him here after the dinner is over,I would love to ask him how he is and what passing over is like but most of all:Are you happy where you are dad and do you still see and feel us?

This is....my jewelery box

This weeks theme of this is was This is my jewelery box.

I am not a jewelery kind of person.I am just not into it I guess.But sometimes,I will get a very strong feeling about something and then either Pim buys it for me or I will buy it for myself.Pim always askes me:"wouldn't you like a bracelet or a ring or earrings" and one time he asked me and I choose a stuffed animal instead.I guess that is me.But the silver bracelet in the picture was love at first sight. Pim bought it for me years ago.I wear to almost every special occasion.And the very large wooden one I bought for myself.As you can see in the picture,the other things are covered with DUST..shame on me.But it just proves I am not the jewelery type. The box is very special,made of tree skin.
